affordable and adaptable homeboarding for dogs

The caring choice for your dog

We know what it is like when you have to leave your dog. Whether it is for a holiday, business or just a weekend break it can be a difficult decision to make. But with DogStars you can pack all your worries away rest assured your loved ones will be cared for in a safe and loving home. All our home board Carers are very carefully chosen. They are experienced dog lovers and either have dogs of their own or have had dogs in the past and miss having them around.

first class care & attention

Dogstar Carers come from a range of backgrounds, from the retired, to those who work from home to house wives and husbands. The one thing that unites them is their love of dogs, so you can be sure they will give your loved ones all the love, cuddles and attention they are used to getting at home.
Every one of our Carers undergoes the Poppy and Elsie screening procedure! John visits each house to ensure that adequate provisions have been made to accommodate your star dog. To further your peace of mind, the local authority will have inspected and licensed their homes as safe environments to board dogs and they will also have supplied two references and be fully insured for public liability. The safety and happiness of your dog comes first and foremost.
We can’t emphasise enough how important it is that you meet your Carer and see their home before you book. You know your dog better than anyone and only you are likely to know if your dog is going to be happy in their new environment. DogsStars will not request a deposit until you and your dog have visited your Carer and are 100% satisfied.
We know how stressful leaving your dog can be. Whilst much of your anxiety will be relieved by meeting your Carers and seeing their new lodgings prior to drop-off some folks like to be kept in-the-loop as to what ‘Max’ or ‘Molly’ has been up to during their stay. DogStars are perfectly happy for you to keep in regular contact with your Carer by either telephone, text or email. On arrival your dog will also be allocated their own unique Twitter page and dog owners will be encouraged to ‘Follow’ their pet online. The page will feature regular updates on what ‘Max’ or ‘Molly’ have been doing with their time.
You can check availability by filling out our form online or simply call or email us. We’ll need to register your dog/s which can either be done on the phone, online or we can arrange a visit to your home where we can meet to chat about your dog or dogs.

There is a contact form at the bottom of this page. Alternatively you can call us on 0191 2669043 or 07812049735. Once we have matched you and your dog with a suitable Carer, you will be invited to meet your dog/s’ Carer at the Carer’s home.

Flash the Yorkshire Terrier

My holiday at Paul‘s house in Gateshead was brilliant. The trip to the beach was just ace.

Cheeky terrier Flash spent a week with Paul in Gateshead. He tweeted daily on his fun with Paul‘s two pugs, Marty and Miffy.
